My name is Hanna, and I run a lifestyle blog about my life as an expat living and working in Mumbai, India. I’m Swedish by blood, but spent my childhood growing up in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia along with my family. At the start of high school I moved away from home, to study languages in a small school in the Swedish south, Lund. Upon graduating, I took my belongings and moved to Santa Barbara in California, where I spent three years studying and working as a volunteer across different projects and initiatives. From there, I went off to Brown University in Providence, RI, where I studied while also working as a production coordinator at a wedding planning firm in NYC. I graduated in 2013 with a degree in International Relations and Political Economy. The same month, I took a job with an Indian conglomerate and moved to Mumbai in India, where I today, four years later, am still living today.
In my blog, I write about anything from travel, fashion, food & lifestyle, to recommendations, thoughts & personal opinions. I write about the contrasts in my day-to-day life–as a Product & Project Manager with an Indian startup, a dedicated full-time planner, organiser & doer, as an independent woman living in a third world country, as a Swede living abroad, and about life as a girlfriend, daughter and friend, living a life spread across the globe.
In my spare time, I love to write, photograph, try new things, cook and practice Muay Thai. I feel strongly about topics like mental health and women empowerment. Building on the definition of girl power, I run WAC–a women’s-only platform in India, where women can boost, motivate, support, share, and create beautiful & inspiring relationships. A place to brainstorm, discuss and share, without being judgmental. A place for women to work together, not against each other.
I hope you will enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoy writing it!
