Saif had the eggs benedict and I had the avocado toast with a large slice of lemon. I have a weird thing with lemon – doesn’t it just make everything in life better? I put large amounts of lemon on everything, especially on avocado…
Then we decided to walk around for a bit, to walk off the breakfast and explore the area. We sadly learnt that our favourite rock n’ roll gin-bar, Portobello Star, had shut down last month due to a change in management. I had really looked forward to come back and revive our memories from last year.
From there we strolled a bit further up the hill and reached Holland Park. It’s such a beautiful place. We even explored the Japan-inspired Kyoto gardens. Since we recently visited Japan together and fell in love with the country, this was a special place…
