Its Tuesday and I started my day working from home this morning, trying to treat my currently worsening throat situation with ginger-lemon-honey tea and gargling hot turmeric water, India style. We have another event planned tomorrow night with Aphrodite (our singles club), and we’re being featured on ISHQ tomorrow. Tune in at 9AM on 104.8 FM and learn more about our club and upcoming event…

I’ve been a bit under the weather since Sunday—out cold every night for 8-9 hours & having crazy dreams.  Last night I dreamt that I was wrongly accused for something I hadn’t done, captured and taken to a prison where I was going to be locked up for years. The entire dream I was battling not with the idea of being locked up for years but with the thought of how worried my family and Saif would be not hearing from me…

I’ve always had very detailed, clear, and sometimes crazy dreams. I know a lot of people believe dreams are our brains way of connecting with the subconscious mind – I’m not sure what I believe, but I still can’t stop myself from googling the meaning of my dreams here and there. According to the wild wild web, my dream last night suggests captivity and fear of punishment, as well as “the need to do what you feel is right in waking life”. It’s also supposed to be;

…a sign of blocked creation and feelings. The dream of prison indicates that you are blocked in some area of your life. Your inner feelings announce that your creativity is suppressed and that you are not allowed to express yourself freely.”

Do you believe our dreams are telling us things about ourselves worth paying attention to?
