And we’re in Goaaaaa!
I took an afternoon flight from Mumbai to Goa yesterday afternoon, and I’m so happy to be here. The last couple of months have been very hectic, despite a lot of it involving wedding attending and holidaying with friends—I feel like I need a holiday from my holiday. I know I sound like a spoiled brat saying this, but I’m a sucker for routines and have a bit of OCD when it comes to my calendar (and life in general).
But, now we’re here! Saif and I have rented a villa here with my mom, Maja and Joakim, where we’ll be staying for a few days to bring in the new year. The plan is to rest, tan, swim, eat, drink and be merry. Last night we checked out the Goa night market, and an Italian feast at Ciao Bella was on the agenda—one of my favourite restaurants here.
Today is the LAST day of 2017. I’ve done a lot of reflecting and figuring and coming to new conclusions and insights this year. It’s been a slow, mellow kind of year, and the major milestones are more in terms of realisations rather than achievements. And its ok.
Going for a few laps in the pool now. And putting the Campari in the freezer.
Have a great last day of the year guys. I can’t frickin wait for 2018!
