How cool are these sneakers I received in the mail yesterday from Skecher Street?! I’ve shopped at Skecher in the US in the past, and have actually never thought of buying a pair of sneakers in India. Well, until now. I had actually seen a photo of these in the past, and they look even better in reality. What makes them even better is that they fit like a glove. I can’t highlight my appreciation for true-to-size enough…
Being the big sneaker fanatic that I am, I kicked off my other shoes and put these on before I ran off to the office this morning.
Skecher Street are doing a private launch party at Famous Studios tonight in Mumbai. I’m excited to carry these sneakers with me for tonight’s mehndi in case the heels kill my feet throughout the evening (we all know, they definitely will).
Thank you, thank you, to Skecher and dearest Santino Morea for thinking of me! And welcome to India!
Good morning guys!
I slept like a baby last night, and at 8am I got up and tried on all my new Bhane wear that just arrived in the mail yesterday. Remember I mentioned that Bhane had sent me a whole bunch of amazing clothes over Diwali? Well, yesterday another box of goodies showed up!
What’s featured in this post isn’t close to half of all the stuff I’ve received – making this the first of several Bhane posts to come.
Yesterday, I wore the flared Bhane denims with a long white shirt from Acne Studios. Today, I’m wearing a black blouse and the wide leg denims with side-slits on both legs–all Bhane.
I can’t wait for Bhane to open up their store in Mumbai! Fingers crossed they’re here before the end of the year – I want to take my sister shopping when she visits in December… All of you can browse and shop all their amazing stuff here–the prices are bomb and the quality is above and beyond any Zara, Topshop or H&M. Seriously impressed.
Sizing tip from me to you: I’m wearing an XS in the tops, which fits perfectly–my chest is small, though. If my boobs were any bigger, I’d go for an S instead. I’m usually a 27 in jeans–I’m a 28 with Bhane.
Thank you so, so much for all the Bhane love! More to come! Love!
Last night, I was invited for the highly-anticipated Erdem x H&M launch at Su Casa in Bandra. My friend Aishwarya was the hostess of the evening, and they had done up the space so beautifully. My other friends (and sisters) Sonam and Rhea’s aunt had done up the venue with what was, safe to say, the most beautiful floral decor I’ve seen in Mumbai. Tasteful and balanced – a sometimes difficult find.
The collection, then? Dreamy, romantic, spring-y–without overdoing it. I loved the solid coloured, knitted sweaters and the oversized jackets and coats–sort of an Acne Studio’s feel with a twist. Watch the incredible brand video here [click], and check out the collection in stores across India on November 2nd (one more week to goooo)
“Directed by Baz Luhrmann, the four-minute video takes place in the dreamiest country mansion where it’s “always spring.” Much like the collection, the mansion is filled with colorful blossoming flowers. (…) It’s a very modern love story, set in a country house that is full of its own secrets and it’s like a metaphor for our times—it’s harsh out there in the world, but in here, the things that really matter keep growing in an eternal spring.”
Aishwarya, Erdem, H&M and teams – thank you for having me, and congratulations on a stunning collection. Gonna go put on my new socks now! x
